Katherine Sharpless is a scenic designer and art department assistant based in Los Angeles, CA.
She attended Carnegie Mellon University and graduated with honors with a BFA in Drama and a minor in Art History. She won the Oren and Teschie Parker Award for Excellence in Design and Production and the West Coast Drama Alumni Award for her graduating class.
During her time at Carnegie Mellon, she designed Into the Woods directed by Matthew Gardiner and Marisol directed by Owen Stone, and spent her summers assisting at the National Theatre (London), Williamstown Theatre Festival, and Chautauqua Theater Company.
She has also worked as a scenic artist, fine artist, props artisan, and with short films and museums, and aspires to work in the art department in television and film. She is originally from Milwaukee, Wisconsin and outside of work is trying to visit every US National Park.
